KIERST ADMIT

Brooklyn songwriter Kierst releases the new single 'Admit', from her anticipated debut EP Thud. Starting with hypnotic reversed guitar swells, 'Admit' is a gentle acoustic track with flickering reverberated electronics and subtle drones that combine to create a melancholic atmosphere that underpins her soft emotive vocals, understated drums kick in for the songs outro that lift the track before it strips away into strings and back into the reversed intro sounds. Lyrically the song tackles emotions around family and growing older together, "This is a love song but not in the conventional sense - it’s about familial love. As you get older, the relationships you have with your parents and siblings get more complicated; you’re navigating the uncertainty of adulthood together. This song was my way of confronting that, and as a way of extending an arm to them." Thud is set for release November 10th via Sad Club Records, check out the video for 'Admit' here. -Toby Evans-Jesra
